Airolit

Airolit is a Swedish aerospace company that designs, develops and produces industrial grade unmanned aerial vehicles. The company is fully Swedish owned, and it says all development and production take place in Sweden. Its tagline is made in Sweden, for Nordic safety.

Its customers work in security, defence, energy, infrastructure and research. Rather than selling an aircraft alone, Airolit presents a complete UAV solution that includes the aircraft, an easy to use interface, equipment from partners, a payload for the task, and training and support.

Airolit S1

The S1 is the Swedish made UAV on the home page. The company says it was developed for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions and for search and rescue, and that it is designed to operate in all weather conditions. The payload can be a standard sensor from Airolit or equipment specified by the customer.

Company standards

Airolit holds ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certification. It lists four commitments that it says it works to improve: protecting the information of its shareholders, setting human rights demands on its supply chain, a systematic work environment, and a shift to more environmentally friendly aerospace solutions.

Where it is based

The company is based in Mölndal, near Gothenburg, on the west coast of Sweden. Its stated ambition is to build a Nordic UAV capability and to become the largest European brand for industrial UAVs. It appears on the exhibitor lists of a naval defence show and of a security and defence conference.
