AirBoss Defense Group

AirBoss Defense Group (ADG) is a United States survivability solutions provider with its main office in Auburn Hills, Michigan. It makes protective products for people who work in high-risk places around the world. It is a division of AirBoss of America.

ADG serves military personnel, first responders and healthcare workers on the front lines. The company says dangerous conditions should never limit a mission. Its business is split into four areas: CBRN systems, healthcare solutions, mobility systems and warrior systems.

Respiratory protection is a major line. The range includes the AirBoss 100 half mask, which is NIOSH approved. It also includes the FlexAir powered air-purifying respirator, the Low-Burden Mask, the C4 CBRN gas mask and the C420 powered air-purifying respirator. ADG says the C420 is proven in military, tactical, aviation and industrial use.

ADG also makes filters. These include the CBRN CAP 1 cartridge, the M96 and M96 CE cartridges, the FR-C2A1 cartridge, a riot control canister and the HE 100 filter. The filters can be used alone or in a dual setup. They are built to protect against chemical and biological agents, toxic industrial chemicals and particles.

Wearables are another group. These are rubber products that protect wearers from chem-bio contamination and other threats. They include molded boots for CBRN protection and a molded lightweight overboot.

ADG's products come from established military specifications and from its own research and development. Recent news shows its government work. It won a five-year framework agreement for the Bandolier explosive charge, with new orders worth up to US$16.9 million. It also won an order worth up to US$8.1 million for the Canadian Department of National Defence, and a boot contract worth up to US$82.3 million.
