About AIR6 Systems
AIR6 Systems designs and makes high-performance drones in Austria. Its drones carry payloads of up to 10 kg and are built for industrial and specialised work.
The company says its drones are made in Europe. They can carry several kinds of sensor, including RGB, thermal, multispectral and LiDAR. AIR6 Systems also offers turnkey drone solutions. These cover the drone itself, built-in sensors, customisation, flight planning and operating software, post-processing software, support and training.
The AIR8 Medium Lifter is an eight-rotor drone with four arms. It carries up to 10 kg and flies for more than 40 minutes. It is made mostly of carbon, has foldable arms and retractable landing gear, and has an IP54 rating for dust and splashes. It works in temperatures from minus 20 to plus 60 degrees Celsius and in winds up to 45 km per hour. Its flight ceiling is 4,000 metres above sea level. Options include a full redundancy package, RTK, PPK and PPP positioning, 4G, 5G or satcom modules, and payload drop-off for logistics.
The AIR4 Rugged is a compact four-rotor drone for harsh conditions. It also flies for more than 40 minutes. Its recommended payload is under 1.5 kg, and up to 3.5 kg is possible. Options include navigation without GPS, detect and avoid, and 4G or 5G modules. The AIR4 Nano weighs under 250 grams. It is made for surveillance and tactical reconnaissance and can work alone or in a swarm.
AIR6 Systems focuses on wind, solar and power line work. It also serves energy, infrastructure, healthcare and logistics customers. Its drones can fly beyond visual line of sight, using 4G, 5G or satellite links and a control centre. Uses include corridor inspection, logistics, emergency response, surveillance, and large area coverage in agriculture and forestry.
SaturnX is a drone service for inspecting offshore wind turbines. Drones launch from a platform based at the wind farm, take high-resolution images and fly beyond visual line of sight over satellite links from an onshore control centre. The DrUBER project is a medical drone delivery idea run with Anglia Ruskin University and NHS trusts in the UK. It aims to connect hospitals, pharmacies, doctors and laboratories with patients in urgent need.
