Aalberts Surface Technologies is a global provider of heat treatment and surface treatment services. It improves the properties of metal and plastic parts for regional and global customers. The group has more than 91 locations, with sites in the Netherlands, Germany, France, Poland, Hungary and the United Kingdom, among other places.

The company has more than 80 years of know-how. It has coated and heat treated parts for industries such as automotive, mechanical engineering and medical technology. Its services cover heat treatment, surface treatment, polymer coatings, brazing, additive manufacturing and post processing. Many of its processes are its own developments, and several are patented.

The work sits in five divisions. The heat treatment division runs hardening shops with processes such as vacuum hardening, carbonitriding and hydrogen annealing. The surface treatment division handles electroless nickel plating, electroplating, hard anodizing and zinc flake coating. Polymer coatings are applied with common painting methods and are mostly used as sliding and non-stick layers. The reel-to-reel division finishes punched strips, taped pins and solid tapes. A fifth unit combines hot isostatic pressing, brazing and additive manufacturing.

Aerospace is one of many industries it serves. The others include automotive, buildings, chemical, e-mobility, engineering, medical technology, nonwoven materials, oil and gas, packaging, plastics, printing, semiconductors and tool manufacturing.

Extra services support the main processes. These include packing and transport, labelling, masking, finishing, laser decoating and laser marking, barrel finishing, deburring and blasting. For quality, it offers test certificates, single part and batch tracking, 100 percent control and component reconditioning. Customer support covers project development, coating development and a technical center service.
