adwäisEO is a Luxembourg company that provides IT and data analytics services for geospatial data, in particular satellite Earth observation. It is based in Betzdorf, Luxembourg, and describes itself as a small and medium enterprise. It serves space agencies, companies, public institutions and research centres.

The company says it is one of the major European players in space data ground segments and in the added-value downstream sectors, such as geomatics and Earth observation. It develops algorithms and processes for big data mining and data transformation. It also builds multi-petabyte archives, geoportals and processing solutions in cloud or HPC environments.

Its services fall into four groups. Secure your data covers collection, secured storage, dissemination, management and long-term archiving. Easy access to data covers data hubs, geoportals, APIs and metadata generation. Data processing covers cloud computing, an HPC cluster and an orchestrator. Extract informative content covers geo-data mining and analytics. Services are also available through its cloud platform, Terra Adwais.

The IT facilities sit in two Tier IV data centres, EBRC RCE and LuxConnect Dc2. They include cloud storage and computing, an HPC cluster, scalar storage for archiving, a tape library for backup and high-speed networks. Listed capacity includes 2,000 TB of fast storage, 8,000 physical cores, 100 PB of tape storage, 70 PB of scalar storage and 2,048 TB of object storage.

The portfolio shows its role in satellite data projects. adwäisEO is prime contractor for the design, implementation and operation of the Luxembourg Collaborative Ground Segment for Sentinel 1 and 2 data. It runs the MFC dissemination system and is the main provider of the PDGS data archival, management and processing services for ESA. It also manages the systematic production of Sentinel-3A land products for ESA, the Advanced Long-Term Archive service, and the infrastructure for quality control of Sentinel optical products. Other work covers the Sentinel 2 Global Mosaic and the HIGHWAY gateway, which links ESA Earth observation data to the Digital Twin Earth within the DestinE framework.

adwäisEO is part of the ACRI ecosystem. In October 2026 it celebrated 10 years at NeoSpace Europe.
