Zenith Aircraft Company

Zenith Aircraft Company designs, develops and manufactures kit aircraft for sport pilots and homebuilders. The company is based at the Mexico Memorial Airport in Missouri, United States. It is an independent, privately owned company that was formed in 1992.

The company says it has made kit aircraft for more than a quarter century. It works from leased production facilities of more than 20,000 square feet. Zenith acquired the exclusive rights to manufacture and sell the Zenair kit designs from designer Chris Heintz.

The current kit line includes the CH 650, the CH 701, the CH 750 Cruzer, the STOL CH 750, the STOL CH 750 Super Duty and the CH 601 HD and HDS. Each model has its own page with specifications, building notes and a purchase page. The site also lists instruments and avionics, high lift design and an international sale page.

The site lists airframe kit prices. The CH 701 is listed at $22,950. The CH 750 Cruzer is listed at $26,995. The STOL CH 750 is listed at $28,250. The Super Cruzer is listed at $33,790. Performance figures such as cruise speed, stall speed, range and takeoff roll appear for each model.

The company is a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and the Aircraft Kit Industry Association (AKIA). The site says the company supports aviation education and sport aviation projects around the world. It hosts builder workshops and offers factory visits.

Builders and owners can use the Zenith Technical Institute, FAQs and builder resources on the website. The site lists an online store with kit purchase options. It also has news and media pages, a list of upcoming events and a contact page for questions.
