Xperix

Xperix Inc. is a South Korean developer and supplier of biometric identity solutions, headquartered at Sagimakgol-ro 62beon-gil in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do, with an office at Tera Tower 2 in Songpa-gu, Seoul. Its journey began in 2009 as the biometric identity business of Suprema Inc., became Suprema ID and listed on the KOSDAQ exchange in 2017, and transitioned to the Xperix brand in 2023. The company develops fingerprint scanners and modules and document readers used in citizen ID, border control and travel, law enforcement, finance, healthcare, telecommunications and workforce management, with clients in more than 133 countries and a network of over 1,000 partners.

Border control and travel

• ePassport issuance, automated border control, visa issuance and boarding ticket checks using high-performance OCR, QR code and 1D and 2D barcode recognition for eIDs, passports and driving licences
• Fingerprint, palm print and face recognition with AI engines built into every product, and liveness detection that prevents spoofing with fake fingerprints made of film, adhesive, rubber, clay or silicone, or faces made with 3D printers or silicon masks
• Deployment in consular services, forensic science, national ID, anti-abduction fingerprint registration and digital seal programmes, and selection as the only non-US manufacturer for a federal public servant ID programme

• FBI-certified devices meeting Mobile ID FAP 20 and FAP 30 and PIV single finger specifications, with CE, FCC, KC, RoHS, IEC 62471, WEEE and REACH approvals and support for Windows, Linux and Android platforms
• A compare tool for scanner specifications, a document library, product images, a support portal and a list of discontinued models and their successors
