WITTENSTEIN motion control
Custom servo drive systems for defence, aerospace and flight simulation

About WITTENSTEIN motion control
WITTENSTEIN motion control GmbH develops, produces and sells custom mechatronic solutions and servo drive systems for the harshest environments, with a focus on defence, aerospace, simulation and oil and gas. It is one of six segments of the family-owned WITTENSTEIN group, alongside WITTENSTEIN alpha, cyber motor, galaxie, attocube and the Resense joint venture, which together cover the technologies of what the group calls cybertronic drive technology. The company builds systems from servo motors, gearboxes, power and control electronics and software, engineered to perform consistently under extreme conditions on land, in the air, at sea and beyond.
Applications
- Defence: mechatronic systems for land, air and sea domains, including customised gears, actuators and power and control electronics for mission-critical applications
- Aerospace: drive solutions for demanding aviation environments that support the performance and safety of fixed-wing and rotary-wing platforms
- Simulation: control loading solutions for high-precision flight simulators, providing authentic force feedback and aircraft-specific behaviour for realistic pilot training
- Oil and gas and subsea: bespoke valve actuators and customised underwater systems, including the SSEAC subsea electric actuator, for oil and gas, hydrogen production and carbon storage
Capabilities
- Customised servo drives designed around each application's requirements, with the company's engineers working with customers to develop tailored solutions
- Software and smart services including drive train optimisation and a safety-critical operating system
- Durable drive systems intended for long-term performance and resource savings in extreme environments
Group
The WITTENSTEIN group is a family company that describes itself as shaping the world of cybertronic motion, with expertise across mechanical and mechatronic servo drive systems (WITTENSTEIN alpha), servo motors with drive electronics and high power density systems (WITTENSTEIN cyber motor) and gearboxes based on a new operating principle (WITTENSTEIN galaxie). WITTENSTEIN motion control's management team is presented on its website, which also offers advice on specific applications.
