About ACME Worldwide Enterprises

ACME Worldwide Enterprises is a simulator and training company in Albuquerque, New Mexico, that builds motion seats and machine gun recoil trainers for military and commercial simulators.

The company has worked since 1994 on motion cueing technology. Its patented Dynamic Motion Seats let crews feel the sensations of operating land, air or sea vehicles while they train in a simulator. Realistic motion matters because crews often feel a problem, such as a weapon hit, before they see it. Its seats are now in their fifth generation.

ACME has delivered motion seat systems for F-15, F-16, M346 and T-50 fighter simulators. It has also done so for AH-64, H-60 and NH90 helicopter simulators. Since 2005 it has supplied all the motion seats for U.S. Navy SH-60 and MH-60 simulators. Its product line also covers the T-6 and T-7 trainers and helicopters such as the AH-1Z, EH-101, S-70, S-92, UH-1Y and UH-72. A seat for ejection skills training and G-suit systems are also offered.

The Gun Active Recoil line is a second main product. These trainers give full-force recoil so gunners learn to handle a real weapon's kick. ACME has made more than 350 gun recoil systems for U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard simulators. They are used in truck, armored vehicle and aircraft simulators. The company also builds replica weapons, a gunnery training system, rescue hoist simulators and air refueling operator trainers for the KC-10, KC-135 and KC-767J.

The company has supplied equipment to Turkey, Singapore, Italy, Japan, France and Australia. Products for Denmark, Israel, New Zealand, Mexico and Finland are in production. ACME also ran research with the Air Force Research Lab on F-16 crews, and a study with Carleton University in Canada on hover training.

Its home is a 10,000 square foot site with offices and a high-bay manufacturing area, near Albuquerque International Airport and Kirtland Air Force Base. Other services include real-time simulation software, systems integration, training system upgrades and maintenance training devices.
