Wisk Aero

Wisk Aero is an autonomous aviation company based in Mountain View, California. It is developing a self-flying, all-electric air taxi that carries four passengers with no pilot on board. Wisk has worked on autonomous flight since 2010 and says it is the only company to have designed, built and flown six generations of eVTOL aircraft.

• August 2026: Wisk broke ground on a 100 by 100 foot vertiport at Hollister Municipal Airport, one of the first public airport vertiports in the US built for both piloted and autonomous aircraft. Data from it feeds the FAA's eVTOL Integration Pilot Program
• August 2026: Archer announced it will acquire Boeing's Wisk Aero, Insitu and SkyGrid subsidiaries
• July 2026: a simulation with NASA showed one ground supervisor managing three autonomous aircraft alongside normal air traffic, under the two organisations' five-year Space Act Agreement
