VECTRONIC Aerospace

VECTRONIC Aerospace GmbH is a German company founded in 2000 that works in two fields: electronic subsystems for small satellites and GPS collars for wildlife monitoring. Its international team of about 70 people works in Germany and the United States, and the company reports involvement in around 810 projects, either space missions or wildlife research projects, with products in use in 76 countries.

Space applications

The space portfolio covers electronic subsystems for small satellites, with a focus on attitude determination and control, power control and distribution, data handling and simulation. The company says its systems stand out for accuracy, that all devices have many years of flight heritage, and that they are involved in several current projects, with NASA among the logos shown on its site. Products have evolved and proven their reliability on a variety of missions.

Wildlife monitoring

VECTRONIC has become one of the world's main suppliers of wildlife telemetry, with around 68,000 collars delivered. Its range includes a highly flexible and customisable collar system for most species and study designs, an efficient GPS collar with a smaller housing, lower weight and wireless communication, and collars for long-term survey and survival studies that send GPS and status data by satellite. Each collar is handmade to the customer's requirements, designed to be compact with rounded edges and minimal external parts to reduce the impact on the animal, and covered by a two-year warranty on electronic failure. The data support research on animal behaviour and migration as well as nature conservation.

Shows

VECTRONIC Aerospace appears in the exhibitor lists of the Small Satellite Conference 2027, SmallSat Europe 2027 and Space Tech Expo Europe 2026.
