Arkadia Space
Hydrogen peroxide green propulsion for satellites, launchers and landers
About Arkadia Space
Arkadia Space is a Spanish company established in 2020 that develops green propulsion for satellites and space vehicles, using high-test hydrogen peroxide as propellant. It operates from Castellon Airport (Carretera CV-13, km 2.4, Benlloch) and the Espaitec 2 science park in Castellon de la Plana. In March 2025 Arkadia became the first company in Europe to operate hydrogen peroxide propulsion in orbit, flying a complete propulsion system with tanks and 5 N thrusters on SpaceX's Transporter-13 mission. The company delivers tanks and thrusters in under six months and complete propulsion systems in under nine months.
Products
- TRITON 5 N monopropellant thrusters for attitude and orbit control systems, with rapid pulsing for fine attitude control and orbit management across satellite classes
- ARIEL 250 N monopropellant thrusters, used in sets of six to eight for launcher reaction and attitude control during ascent and recovery
- PHANTOM 200 N hypergolic bipropellant engines with instant ignition and rapid pulsing, used in groups of one to three as the main landing system of lunar and planetary landers alongside TRITON thrusters
- Tanks and complete monopropellant or bipropellant propulsion systems delivering up to 310 seconds of specific impulse
Applications
Arkadia systems serve small satellite constellations and medium platforms for Earth observation, surveillance and inspection through rendezvous and proximity manoeuvres, scientific and exploration spacecraft, launchers, and re-entry vehicles for cargo return, sample return and protected payload delivery that need sustained, deterministic thrust for deorbit burns and controlled re-entry. The thrusters cover orbit transfer, station keeping, collision avoidance, attitude control and end-of-life deorbiting without burn-time limits or complex duty cycles.
Company
Arkadia's stated vision is to make space exploration sustainable, accessible and modern through simplified operations, efficient manufacturing and green propellant, lowering mission cost without losing performance. It describes a hands-on, multidisciplinary team that designs, builds, tests and flies its own hardware and recruits engineers who want to work directly on flight systems.
Shows
Arkadia Space appears in the exhibitor lists of the Small Satellite Conference 2027, Space Tech Expo Europe 2026 and SmallSat Europe 2027.
