TRONICO
French electronics design and manufacturing for aerospace, defence and space since 1972
About TRONICO
TRONICO is a French electronics design and manufacturing company serving the aerospace, defence, medical, energy and space sectors. TRONICO France was founded on 15 December 1972 when 22 residents of Saint-Philbert-de-Bouaine in the Vendee invested their savings in an electronics subcontracting company led by Gerard Plet, with support from the regional development company SODERO. From an initial 600 square metres, the site at 26 rue du Bocage has grown to 12,000 square metres dedicated to the design and manufacture of complex, high value-added electronic products, with about 500 staff and a 2023 turnover of 105 million euros. The group also operates TRONICO Morocco.
History
By 1977 the company had reached a turnover of 3 million francs and 80 employees, and a decade later it ranked among France's top ten subcontractors for professional electronics and microelectronics, with 40 percent of sales in the military sector and 60 percent civilian. Early programmes included flight control boards for the Mirage 2000, electronic assemblies for nuclear submarines, safety equipment for the Airbus A320 and A340 and electronic control racks for TGV high-speed trains.
