Titanium International Group

Titanium International Group Srl (TIG) is an Italian supplier of titanium, nickel-based alloys, superalloys and other aerospace materials for high-end markets, based at Sala Bolognese near Bologna. Founded in Bologna in 1999, it describes itself as a distributor of aerospace materials in Italy ranking among the first in Europe, and has built an integrated quality system certified to EN 9100 for production and EN 9120 for distribution, with ISO 9001, 16 OEM qualifications including Leonardo (Agusta), Pratt and Whitney laboratory control system approval and 14 other approvals. TIG is part of Sefa Holding Group S.p.A., with a share capital of 1.5 million euros.

Stock and warehouse

• A stock of 300 tonnes of titanium and nickel-based alloys held for customers' programmes, allowing quick shipments or scheduled medium-term delivery plans with material kept until call-off
• 3,000 square metres of covered warehouses with bridge cranes and automatic storage systems, in a headquarters built as the company grew
• SAP ERP integrated with the automated warehouses, so every product in stock is fully traceable at any time, with every piece of metal labelled with customised bar codes

Processing

• Four Flow water jet CNC cutting machines and 30 Amada machines giving flexibility in production planning and short lead times for flat and long products
• Level II ultrasonic testing to EN 4179 and NAS 410
• Materials supplied to aerospace, space, medical and racing customers, measured in tonnes of titanium, nickel-based and superalloy products delivered

Group

TIG is part of Sefa Holding Group, rooted in the industrial history of Emilia-Romagna, alongside Sefa Acciai, which distributes special and tool steels, Sefa Meccanica, specialised in small and large-scale machining, and 3D Metal, an additive manufacturing company in which the holding invested. The company says its strength is belonging to a reliable group oriented to developing services for market needs, and it works every day to give customers the best service in material quality, lead time and support.
