Teijin Carbon Europe

Teijin Carbon Europe GmbH is the European company of Teijin's carbon fiber business, which makes Tenax carbon fiber and related materials. Its European headquarters, serving the European market, are in Wuppertal, Germany, where about 90 employees work in marketing and sales and in development and laboratory roles. The group has production sites in Japan, Germany, the United States and Vietnam, with sales offices around the world and its headquarters in central Tokyo.

• Mishima, Japan, with several carbon fiber production lines and an annual capacity of 6,400 tons of carbon fiber there alone, where Tenax prepreg is also produced
• Greenwood, South Carolina, head office of Teijin Carbon America and the United States production site for Tenax carbon fibers
• Ha Nam, Vietnam, where Teijin Carbon Vietnam began commercial operation in 2021 and produces carbon fiber products including prepreg

Quality

The company lists certificates including ISO 9001, EN 9100:2018 and JIS Q 9100:2016, the aerospace quality management standards, along with ISO 14001 for environmental management, ISO 45001 for occupational safety and ISO 50001 for energy management at several sites.

Shows

Teijin Carbon Europe appears in the exhibitor lists of Space Tech Expo Europe 2026 and the Paris Air Show 2027. Its fair guide also lists other trade events, including a Carbon Fiber Conference in Huntsville, Alabama, in November 2026.
