About Tanis Aircraft Products
- Cirrus specialistCirrus-focused company, not an authorized service center
Tanis Aircraft Products is an aircraft preheat system maker founded in 1974 and now part of Hartzell Preheat, a Hartzell Propeller business in Piqua, Ohio. Hartzell Preheat brings together three brands: Tanis engine and airframe preheat systems, Reiff modular preheat systems for piston aircraft, and SwitcheOn app-based remote switches. The site says Tanis led the industry with the first engine-mounted preheat systems for piston aircraft and the first helicopter and turbine preheat systems, and that all Tanis systems are designed and made in-house at the Piqua facility.
