About Sunvair Aerospace Group

Sunvair Aerospace Group is an aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul provider with locations in California, Oklahoma, Nevada and Florida. It fixes flight-critical parts for airlines, military customers, aircraft makers and other repair stations. The group says it has more than six decades of experience.

The company repairs and overhauls many kinds of components. Avionics, instruments and electrical parts are one area. Cargo loading systems are another, and Sunvair says it supports many of the largest airlines with cargo loading repairs. Its hydraulics work covers actuators, valves, pumps and landing gear actuation. In pneumatics, it supports engine starters, motors, air-driven pumps and pneumatic valves for the commercial aerospace industry.

Sunvair also handles electro-mechanical parts such as gearboxes, actuators, cooling fans and horizontal stabilizer trim actuators. Its water and waste work includes vacuum generators and lavatory parts. Landing gear overhaul and repair has been part of the business since 1955. A thermal spray shop applies high-velocity oxygen fuel coatings to titanium and high-strength steel parts. The group also uses customised tooling for coating work that needs almost no grinding afterwards.

Engineering is a core strength. Sunvair has in-house designated engineering representative capability, which helps show that repairs and parts meet FAA requirements. It also provides parts manufacturer approval work and builds lower-cost alternatives to original parts, including cargo rollers, roller assemblies and bearings. Its engineers have designed and made more than 1,500 custom repairs. The group keeps a database of more than 10,000 repair services.

The Miami site, called Aircraft Systems, is a 14,000 square foot FAA and EASA repair station. It holds an unlimited accessory rating for Class I, II and III, plus limited landing gear and limited airframe ratings. The site in Owasso, Oklahoma has 62,000 square feet of space and sits about 9 miles from Tulsa International Airport. A site in Valencia, California is about 40 miles from Los Angeles International Airport. A second Miami site, Med-Craft and Med-Air, can answer customer needs around the clock.

Sunvair parts fly with more than 50 airlines and militaries in over 20 countries. The company also supports aircraft makers and other repair stations. When a customer cannot find a part number in the database, they can ask Sunvair for a quote and its engineers can develop an in-house repair.
