Simnest Aviation

Simnest Aviation designs and builds certified flight simulators for pilot training from its base in Hatvan, Hungary. The Simnest group has two parts. One part makes the simulators. The other is a training organisation with its own pilot academy.

Before it moved into certified civil aviation training devices, the company worked on several independent research and development projects. In 2015 it chose to put all its focus on designing and making professional flight simulation training devices. Since then it has taken several devices through the certification process.

The company offers three devices. These are the A320 AATD, the A320 FNPT II MCC and the B737 FNPT II MCC. The fixed base A320 simulator is APS ready and copies the Airbus A320 in fine detail. Real OEM parts can be fitted to make the cockpit feel even closer to the aircraft. The aim is to make large jet training effective, so trainees can focus on the lesson.

The staff bring skills in mechanical and electrical engineering, flight safety, data analysis and software development. A professional test pilot, who is also an active airline captain on the A320, tries out new features and improvements. This mix of skills helps the company build devices that suit real training needs.

Simnest also learns from its own training organisation, Simnest Pilot Academy. Running a flight school gives it first-hand knowledge of what the next generation of pilots needs from a training device. Its experience with certification lets it offer solutions that cover the full training needs of its customers.

Customers include training organisations, including those still setting one up, as well as simulator operators and airlines. Partners in Denmark, Poland, Portugal and the Asia-Pacific region help the company reach customers abroad.
