About SHOTOVER Systems
SHOTOVER Systems develops stabilized imaging and mission management systems for airborne operations. It makes camera gimbals and augmented reality mission software. The company says its systems give operators greater control, flexibility and situational awareness.
The M2 Camera System is a gyro stabilized camera. AIRSCAPE is the mission management software. It has features such as multi marker observation, multi vehicle speed tracking, wide area mapping and automated license plate recognition. EARTHSCAPE is a cloud based video management platform for video and metadata control.
The product line also includes the ION digital video recorder, the M1, F1, K1 and G1 gimbals, the ARS mapping system, an HCX hand controller and an M2 simulator. The company says the ION recorder is compact, rugged and reliable for geospatial video.
The gimbals and mapping systems are used by law enforcement, emergency management, drug interdiction, search and rescue, military, border patrol, fire management, cinematographers, TV news, traffic reporting, and oil and gas. The company says its products can be customized to connect with a wide range of other devices.
Custom engineering brings customer cameras and payloads onto a stabilized platform. Projects can include daylight and low light cameras, thermal sensors and long lenses. The team helps with mechanical design, stabilization, electrical interfaces and STEP models.
The company's history starts with Churchill Navigation, which developed its ARS mapping software in 2006. In August 2020, Churchill Navigation acquired SHOTOVER Camera Systems, now called SHOTOVER Systems. SHOTOVER was developed in 2009 by engineers, pilots and cinematographers.
The K1 is the only Academy Award winning stabilized gimbal system on the market. The company says it offers worldwide support and updates for the life of each product.
