Sensolus

Sensolus is a Belgian IoT company headquartered at Moutstraat 54 in Ghent that provides end-to-end asset tracking and condition monitoring for industrial assets, from small boxes to large containers, indoors and outdoors and across every mode of transport. Founded in 2013 by four Belgians who wanted to take the complexity out of IoT, it builds and supports its whole stack in house with one European team, describes itself as the global market leader in IoT asset tracking and today tracks more than 1.5 million assets for 500 enterprises. The company is backed by private investors and venture funds Capricorn Partners, Quest for Growth and Matterwave.

Aviation applications

• Aerospace manufacturing: tracking tooling, returnable transport packaging, stillages and jigs in and between factories, with security approved by Airbus
• Ground support equipment and airport services: tracking dollies, tugs, carts, aircraft stairs, trolleys, towbars, racks and wheelchairs across kilometres of apron and hangar so nothing slows the turnaround

Technology

• Battery-powered GPS trackers that position assets over GNSS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for up to ten years on one battery, compact Bluetooth tags for smaller assets and high volumes, and condition sensors for temperature, humidity, load detection, fill level and open or closed status
• Hardware that is easy to install with no wires or infrastructure, a SIM card with worldwide coverage, and ATEX, IECEx and in-flight certification
• An industrial asset-tracking platform and mobile app with asset maps, geozones and alerts, inventory reports, custom dashboards, integration with ERP, WMS and TMS systems, GDPR compliance and SSO-controlled access, all with data kept in Europe and 99.9 percent uptime
• Tracking-as-a-service pricing that bundles hardware, platform, connectivity and support into one fee per asset, with Sensolus AI nominated three times for innovation awards
