Sechan Electronics

Sechan Electronics, Inc. is an employee-owned defence electronics contractor founded in 1984 and headquartered at 525 Furnace Hills Pike in Lititz, Pennsylvania. It develops, tests and manufactures military electronics systems and subsystems for the US Department of Defense and prime contractors, and unlike contractors that also serve other industries it is dedicated solely to defence electronics for the aerospace and military sector. The company holds a small business classification, has resident Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) representatives on site and works directly with government and customer personnel on project requirements.

Capabilities

• A facility configured for circuit card assemblies, wiring harnesses and end item integration, with a separate CCA Center of Excellence alongside the headquarters and main production facility

History

Sechan's first contract was awarded by the US Army Missile Command for printed wiring assemblies with a value of 2,624 dollars, and its first major contract was the Range Airframe Separation Programmer (RASP) for the US Navy, which was qualified and produced for several years. The company moved to a leased 15,000 square foot building at 660 Furnace Hills Pike and later to a renovated 90,000 square foot building at 525 Furnace Hills Pike, was named the Small Business Administration's 1988 Regional Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year, and established an employee stock ownership plan under which every team member is a business owner. It was recognised among the Best Workplaces in Lancaster County in 2024, and its stated mission is to ensure the safety and security of those it serves through high-reliability electronic solutions that perform every time.
