ScanAviation A/S is a Danish workshop that overhauls and repairs aircraft piston engines, propellers and components.

The company was founded in 1950. Since then, its core work has been overhaul, shock load inspection and repair of piston engines, propellers and components. It handles about 150 engine overhauls and repairs a year. It deals with even more propellers and components. More than 10,000 engines have passed through its workshop over the years.

The workshop services Lycoming and Continental piston engines. For general aviation propellers, it works on Hartzell, McCauley and Sensenich. For commuter aircraft, it services Hamilton propeller blades and hubs. It is also a service centre for a wide range of general aviation components. In addition, it supplies general aviation spare parts.

Its services start with overhaul and repair of piston engines. Customers can ask for a quote on a repair. After a prop strike, they can bring in an engine or propeller for a shock load inspection. The company also carries out non-destructive testing, with magnaflux, ultrasonic, dye-check and eddy current methods. It paints and welds engines, propellers, components and parts, following the maker's instructions.

ScanAviation serves customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. These include FBOs, air taxi operators, flying schools, military and helicopter operators and corporate customers. The company works in English and German.
