SAT Thermique

SAT Thermique has designed and manufactured turnkey industrial thermal equipment since 1953. Based in the heart of the French Alps, with 12,000 square metres of premises, the company builds forced-convection ovens and furnaces for temperatures up to 750 degrees Celsius (1,400 F) with conveying and handling systems, and describes itself as the first European company for industrial hot air convection heating equipment. It reports more than 70 years of experience and more than 10,000 ovens and furnaces installed worldwide, all manufactured in France from study to on-site commissioning.

The equipment handles preheating, curing, drying, annealing, stabilisation, degassing, solution treatment, post-vulcanisation and steaming, in standard or custom versions. SAT provides the aerodynamic calculations, thermal modelling, mechanical design, electrical engineering, integrated automation and industrial computing in-house. Features include a robust frame, hand-applied high-density insulation and controlled temperature homogeneity.

Aerospace and standards

SAT serves aeronautics and space, automotive, railway, plastics, energy, marine, defence and security, medical, pharmaceutical and electronics customers. Its heating equipment complies with AMS 2750, AMS 2770, NADCAP, CQI-9, BAC 5621, RPS 953, ATEX, UL and GOST requirements. Case studies on the site include an 8-metre oven for polymerising composite parts for CMP Composites, a custom tunnel for drying hydrogen tanks, a hanger-type tunnel for the automotive sector and energy savings in surface treatment for the aeronautical industry. SAT is a sister company of Thimon, a French maker of overwrapping machines and conveying systems.

SAT Thermique appears in the exhibitor lists of Space Tech Expo Europe 2026, Aeromart Toulouse 2026 and the Paris Air Show 2027, and also exhibits at the K plastics fair in Dusseldorf.
