About SAF Hélicoptères

SAF Hélicoptères is a French helicopter operator, part of SAF Aerogroup, with roots in the Secours Aérien Français association of 1979. It is the only private operator in the Savoie prefecture mountain rescue plan and works from its historic base at Courchevel. It does not publish passenger transfer flights to Courchevel.

  • Mountain rescue on and off the ski slopes for 42 Savoie communes during the 5 winter months
  • More than 400 missions each season from Courchevel
  • SAMU medical helicopters for 18 French hospitals and 2 Belgian associations
  • Aerial work: lifting, avalanche control, firefighting, filming and network surveillance
