Rubbercraft Corporation is a manufacturer of custom elastomeric components in Long Beach, California, serving aerospace, defense, space, energy, industrial and marine customers. The company began in 1911 as the Hendrie Tire Company in Torrance, California, and later took the Rubbercraft name. It was acquired by Arcline Investment Management in 2019.

How the company works

Rubbercraft mixes its own silicone, fluorosilicone, Viton, EPDM, nitrile, neoprene, butyl and other compounds in house, with more than 300 material formulations. It designs both the seal and the tooling to make it, and uses finite element analysis, 3D prototyping, and in-house environmental and pressure testing. A rapid manufacturing team can produce parts in about one week. Around 200 to 250 unique part numbers are made each week.
