About Rosen Sunvisor Systems

Rosen Sunvisor Systems makes sunvisors and sun glare control products for aircraft and other vehicles, and manufactures them from start to finish in Eugene, Oregon. The company designed its first multi-positioning transparent visor for aviation in 1985 and now supplies general aviation, commercial aircraft, automotive, off-road, rail, marine, military, first responder and heavy equipment customers. It is one of three sister companies, with Northwest Stamping and Precision (progressive die stamping) and Cascade Composites (carbon fibre and fibreglass layup), both of which supply parts to Rosen.

Products

  • Aviation sunvisor systems with articulating, multi-positional arms and monorail mounts
  • Cast acrylic lenses with a neutral density tint that filter ultraviolet light and glare
  • Roller shades, window assemblies, custom rails, grab handles, mounting fixtures and mirrors
  • Rosen Gear accessories
  • Projects and engineering for custom vehicle interior fixtures

The company says it has more than 30 years in aviation and well over 100 Supplemental Type Certificated (STC) visor systems for aircraft, supplying both commercial aircraft OEMs and general aviation operators. Orders can be placed by purchase order request or pricing request through the site, or through Rosen distributors.

Cirrus

Rosen makes a sunvisor system for the Cirrus SR20 and SR22, sold on its online store as the R1740000 Cirrus SR20/SR22 NSA System, with an R1740201 translucent grey replacement lens. The visor installs in the existing factory mounting location and its shape is modelled on the original equipment visor to keep the styling of the Cirrus aircraft. The company says it blocks 99.9 percent of UV-A and UV-B rays and that installation takes about 30 minutes to one hour.

Quality

Rosen Sunvisor Systems, LLC has been assessed for conformance with ISO 9001 and AS9100 Rev D, and the certificate is published on its site. Every system is inspected before shipment. Products carry a three-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship when installed per the published instructions, and unused products may be returned in as-new condition within 90 days.
