REDARC Defence & Space

REDARC Defence & Space is a division of the REDARC Group based in Lonsdale, South Australia, a 100 percent Australian-owned and operated design-to-manufacture business that delivers sovereign electronics integration and deployable power solutions for defence and space applications. Drawing on more than 45 years of power electronics expertise within the REDARC Group, it designs and manufactures ruggedised electronics and customised power systems through engineering, manufacturing, in-house qualification testing and integration under one roof, with full lifecycle support for mission-critical programmes under the line Power for the Mission.

Capabilities

• Design and integration of power, electronics and mission systems for complex defence platforms, including power distribution, energy management and platform electrification
• Secure, purpose-built electronics manufacturing delivering repeatable production from single units to high-volume deployments, with customisation of existing products and development of new ones
• In-house qualification and compliance testing, including an EMC laboratory, to validate performance and reduce risk before deployment; the company recently expanded its sovereign testing capability
• Sustainment, re-engineering, obsolescence management, technology refresh and component upgrades to extend the service life of electronic systems
• Supply chain management through a network of Australian suppliers to strengthen resilience and Australian Industry Capability outcomes

• Rugged power conversion, battery management and electronic solutions for heavy vehicles, marine vessels and autonomous platforms, including sovereign rugged military inverter technology showcased at Land Forces 2026

• Named with Silentium Defence as a finalist in the Collaboration category of the 2026 Defence Teaming Centre awards

Quality and community

The division operates under a framework of quality, safety, environmental and security standards with globally recognised certifications and is working towards CMMC Level 2 cybersecurity. It maintains partnerships with prime contractors, local innovators, government, industry bodies and educational institutions including Adelaide University, and supports veterans through the Legacy REDARC Resilience Program, the Royal Society for the Blind's OPK9 programme, Soldier On and APOD.
