Quadrant Pilot

Quadrant Pilot is a UK CAA and EASA approved training organisation in Burgess Hill, about 30 minutes south of London Gatwick Airport. It is independently owned, part of Quadrant Systems Limited and a company of the Air One group, and draws on more than 30 years of experience in flight training, flight simulation engineering and aviation. All training takes place on Level D full flight simulators.

The school offers courses to individuals starting a commercial aviation career and to airlines that want a reliable pipeline of pilots. It says its size gives it more freedom than larger corporate schools to deliver a personal, flexible service, with on demand courses that fit around the customer’s schedule.

Courses

• APS MCC, a course bridging the gap between flight school and the flight deck that gives the foundation airlines expect
• Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 NG type rating courses on Level D full flight simulators
• Type rating refresher and revalidation training for the A320 and 737, from a simple refresher to simulator time only
• Type Rating Instructor (TRI) and Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) courses using full flight simulators and classroom learning
• Bespoke courses for individuals and airlines

Simulators

The Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 NG Level D full flight simulators are approved by the UK CAA and are available for dry or wet lease. The company says the simulators can be booked 24 hours a day.

Instructors and approach

Courses are run by professional flight instructors with extensive flying and teaching experience. The school aims to support trainees from the first enquiry to the end of the course, including logistics and facility comfort, and works with airlines to build course content that fits their requirements.
