About PRECI 3D Lorraine

PRECI 3D Lorraine is a French high-precision machining company based in the Les Joncquières industrial zone at Ennery, near Metz in the Grand Est region, with the wider PRECI 3D group also present in Luxembourg and the Paris region. It offers industrialisation and production resources for very high precision work, including precision machining, high-speed machining, grinding, CNC turning, electro-erosion and metrology, and invests regularly in new production equipment. Aeronautics is its main market at around 70 percent of turnover, followed by automotive at about 19 percent, with smaller shares in construction, food processing, defence and metalworking.

Capabilities

  • High-speed milling in 3, 4 and 5 continuous axes on a machine park of 11 machines, supported by CAD/CAM programming in TopSolid and Esprit, with a palletised HAAS UMC 1000 SS 5-axis centre adding more than 5,000 milling hours a year
  • 5-axis continuous machining on a DMU 80 Evolution and rework of forged blanks by turning, 5-axis milling and cylindrical grinding
  • Grinding of equidistant grooves on a HAUSER S50 L jig grinder to IT tolerances of 5 microns
  • 100 percent inspection protocol on a LEITZ PMM 886 coordinate measuring machine
  • A structured methods and industrialisation department that sets detailed, frozen manufacturing routings, follows suppliers for material, treatments and non-destructive testing, and runs management control

Aerospace work

The aerospace sector has been decisive in the company's development; it produces parts classed as critical, such as engine and safety parts, with on-time delivery above 95 percent. Examples on its site include a transmission sleeve, a landing gear box, a left brake screw and the landing gear door clevis of the Airbus A400M, alongside brake pad compression moulds, door seal extrusion dies and military parts for customers such as Dassault and Thales.

Quality and figures

PRECI 3D is certified ISO 9001 and EN 9100, a certification it has renewed, and reports a non-quality rate below 500 ppm with full traceability of material, production and subcontracting. In 2018 it recorded turnover of 6.5 million euros with 51 staff and a result of around 5 percent of turnover, and its stated aim is sustainable growth while meeting its lead time and quality commitments to a loyal customer base. The site is open from 7 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday and the company accepts unsolicited job applications.
