Pilgrim Screw Corporation

Pilgrim Screw Corporation trades as Pilgrim Aerospace Fasteners. It makes precision fasteners for aerospace and defense customers at its plant in Chandler, Arizona. The company says it has worked since 1932 and is part of the Meidoh Group. It also serves medical and space customers.

The product range includes standard bolts to NAS, AS and MS specifications, custom bolts made to order and approved specials that meet customer-specific engineering needs. NAS bolts include the NAS6603 and 6604 series, with close tolerance and titanium options. The company also makes solid rivets, lightweight screws and precision hardware. Work runs from prototype to production.

The firm began in Providence, Rhode Island, when Fred Sahakian started a jewelry business and bought screws for earrings. When screws became hard to find during World War II he began to make his own, and the government soon asked the company to make parts for defense. The Chandler plant opened in 1988. In 2001 the company made parts for the Mars Rover. In 2017 all manufacturing moved to Chandler and the firm took the name Pilgrim Aerospace Fasteners. It joined the Meidoh Group in 2023 and set up a medical division the same year.

The company lists ITAR, DFARS and Joint Certification Program compliance. It holds ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100:2016 quality certification and ISO 13485:2016 for medical devices. It runs on the Entrepreneurial Operating System and has an active board of directors.
