Flightcell

Flightcell designs and makes aircraft communication systems that use cellular and satellite networks. The company says its systems provide voice, data and tracking. It also offers cockpit recording products. The website calls Flightcell a global leader in aviation communication and cockpit recording systems.

The DZMx is installed in the cockpit panel. It is an all in one voice, data and tracking system for rotorcraft and small fixed wing aircraft. It uses the Iridium satellite network for global coverage, and low cost cellular service when in range.

The website says the DZMx lets operators choose their own airtime, data and tracking service providers. It is FAA 135.607 FDMS compliant and compatible with Starlink over Ethernet. Its features include automated rescue monitoring, emergency and alert modes, geofencing, a Hobbs meter and internet access.

DZMx PLUS helps operators upgrade older tray mounted satellite equipment. The Flightcell Controller is a compact interface for the DZMx PLUS. The SmartHUB and Camera is a cockpit flight data, video and audio recording unit that is simple to install.

Installation is designed to be simple. All electronics sit in one compact control head, with no STC required and an install as a minor change. The DZMx is built to MILSPEC and tested to DO160G. The website says it is installed in thousands of aircraft worldwide.

Other products include SVS, a satellite voice service for long range air traffic voice communication over Iridium. Iridium Certus 100 provides mid band satellite data. The company also sells a push to talk option, a standalone satellite modem, a remote head and a satphone cradle.

Flightcell serves air medical, search and rescue, aerial fire, law enforcement, military, oil and gas, and business aviation customers. Its products are sold through authorized resellers around the world.
