Ostend-Bruges Airport
Belgian coastal airport for leisure flights and 24/7 air cargo
About Ostend-Bruges Airport
Ostend-Bruges International Airport (OST) is a regional passenger and cargo airport on the Belgian coast, operated by Egis Airport Operation. For passengers it offers holiday and leisure flights, with TUI fly among the carriers shown on its site, and provides information on destinations and flight schedules, access by public transport, taxi and car, drop-off and pick-up points, parking, a fuel station with electric fast charging, travel documents and entry conditions, and immigration and border control. Airport tours are being redesigned and the airport communicates through a newsletter and social media under the hashtags flyrelaxflyregional and aircargosolutions.
Cargo
- A 100,000 square metre cargo logistics zone with a further 200,000 square metres under development, designed to handle all kinds of cargo
- 7,000 square metres of refrigerated and freezer facilities for perishable goods and an on-site EU veterinary inspection post
- A dedicated cargo apron with multiple wide-body stands, 24/7 operations with customs presence, no slot restrictions and fast turnarounds, served by an uncongested motorway network
- Continuous investment in cargo infrastructure and digitalisation of the cargo process, with carriers such as EgyptAir Cargo among those featured
Operations and technical information
The airport publishes airport charges with an online calculator, rules for ground service providers, and procedures for general declarations: flights to or from destinations outside the EU must file a customs general declaration, and extra-Schengen flights must pre-file a digital general declaration with the Belgian Aviation Police under the Schengen Borders Code, with crew and passengers presenting for border control. Training flights are capped at 20,000 movements a year, of which no more than 2,000 may involve aircraft above 6 tonnes, and are allowed between 09:00 and 22:00 local time except on Sundays and public holidays, with evening movements limited to 1,000 a year and none in July and August; military training flights may not exceed three per day. Advertising, sponsoring and partnership opportunities are available.
