Nimrod Industries
Machining, sheet metal, composites and surface treatment for aerospace
About Nimrod Industries
Nimrod Industries is a French aerospace manufacturing group that unites DETAMPEL and ESM, two companies with more than 40 years of service to the aeronautics industry, under a shared ambition of customer service and advanced technology. With sites at Boissy-Saint-Léger in Val-de-Marne and Taverny in Val-d'Oise, the group is a partner of major aerospace primes and equipment manufacturers, offering high-technology solutions with the responsiveness of an SME while working to the methods and standards of the largest aerospace groups.
Production and manufacturing
- An industrial park of more than 50 CNC machines producing machined parts and sub-assemblies
- Aerospace sheet metal and metalworking, simple or complex, cold or hot formed, fully integrated with non-destructive testing, surface treatment and painting
- Composite moulds and parts, with development, production and quality control managed in house
- Qualified assembly units for aerostructures and complex assemblies and sub-assemblies
- A dedicated surface treatment and materials technology unit with a robotic line of 47 tanks for REACH-compliant treatments such as tartaric sulphuric anodising and thin-film OAS coatings
Design and engineering
Each business unit has its own design office, and technical project managers handle the whole process from design through manufacturing to assembly, including qualification of production flows and costs. Innovation is described as a daily part of operations, aimed at developing the products, technologies and processes of tomorrow. Product families on the site are grouped by destination, including Airbus Helicopters H125, H130, H175, 365, NH90, 332 and Caracal programmes, elementary and standard parts, and non-aerospace work such as Peugeot rally and Renault utility vehicle components.
Customer service and people
Nimrod's customer service relies on structured supply chain teams, communicated key performance indicators, an integrated ERP system and a strong sense of service, and the group says its reputation is tied to the quality of that service. Its human resources approach focuses on skills development, with the HR and quality teams and training partners building customised training programmes, and job openings are published on the site.
