Nicomatic

Nicomatic is a French designer and manufacturer of micro connectors, complex cable assemblies and subsystems integrated into electronic equipment. It describes itself as a family-owned, fully integrated and globalised company that builds customised interconnections for complex electronic systems used in demanding sectors such as aerospace, defence and space.

Engineering and testing

Nicomatic operates its own testing laboratory to test or qualify customer products. Its published technical resources cover mechanical and dielectric simulation, the effect of altitude on dielectric voltage, current-carrying capacity based on measured data, and an MTBF calculator for reliability studies. It also offers training on PCB assembly and wiring to IPC standards, and on fibre optics for defence, aviation and space.

Approach and certification

The company states that most products have no minimum order quantity and that its connectors are configurable without limit. It is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and EN 9100:2016 for aerospace and defence. To stay close to customers it has set up subsidiaries in several countries, with local production and R&D capabilities, and it belongs to a number of aerospace and defence associations in France, Germany, the UK and the United States.
