NHIndustries

NHIndustries is a French SAS company headquartered in Aix-en-Provence. It is wholly owned by Airbus Helicopters, Leonardo and GKN Fokker Aerospace and acts as the central hub of the NH90 programme. Since its establishment in 1992 it has overseen the design, development and service entry of the NH90 for NAHEMA, the NATO Helicopter Management Agency, and for export customers.

Responsibilities

NHIndustries is responsible for airworthiness and safety, integrated logistic support, programme management, and design and innovation including configuration and continuous product improvement. Support and training services cover product support and simulation and training.

Partner work split

Airbus Helicopters supplies the powerplant, rotors, electrical, flight control and core avionic systems. Airbus Helicopters Deutschland supplies the forward and centre fuselage, fuel system and the TTH mission system. Leonardo supplies the rear fuselage, main gearbox, hydraulic system and the NFH mission system. GKN Fokker Aerospace supplies the tail structure, doors, sponsons and landing gear.

Operators and activity

The NH90 is in service with 18 operators in 14 nations. Recent news on the site covers the first flight of the NH90 in the Software Release 3 configuration, studies of an NH90 Block 2 standard, a user conference and the Royal New Zealand Air Force NH90 fleet. The site also shows visual stories of the helicopter in service in Afghanistan, Belgium and with the Dutch Navy.
