Nanomotion designs and manufactures piezoelectric motors, drives and complete motion systems. Its worldwide headquarters is in Yokneam, Israel, with a United States headquarters, a presence in Europe and a network of international distributors serving customers in the USA, Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. The company's patented ultrasonic standing wave motors provide unlimited linear and rotary motion with no moving parts and without generating magnetic fields, even in stall mode, which suits them to precision positioning in demanding environments. The foundation patent for the L1 and B2 piezoelectric element dates from 1993.
