About Monopulse

Monopulse is a producer of unmanned aerial systems for government, law enforcement and military use. The company builds its drones in Europe and was founded in 2021 by a group of engineers with backgrounds in the defence industry, academia and advanced engineering. Its site lists an office in Kaunas, Lithuania, and addresses in Kongens Lyngby, Denmark, and says Monopulse is a registered trademark of Monopulse ApS.

The company keeps its engineering in house, covering systems engineering, electronics, mechanical and aerospace engineering, and firmware and software. The team includes former military officers who bring operational insight into defence user needs. Several team members also hold academic affiliations, which gives Monopulse links with universities and research institutes. A stated research focus is keeping missions running in contested electronic warfare environments, either through resilient communication links or through autonomy that lets a drone operate on its own.

Products

  • Falcon MK3S: a quadcopter that can hover precisely and take off and land vertically, built for durability and easy repair in the field. Payloads can be swapped between EO daylight zoom, combined EO and LWIR cameras, and specialty options such as a long-range laser range finder
  • Falcon MK3S ISR: long-distance observation with optical and continuous zoom, day or night, with a daylight and thermal camera and video streaming that integrates with third-party systems
  • Other Falcon MK3S configurations: artillery target spotting and post-strike damage assessment with a laser range finder, and persistent area surveillance and topographic mapping with high-speed photo capture and autonomous flight
  • Hydrohex: an inspection platform that joins a UAV and an unmanned surface vessel, so one system can inspect above the water line and measure below it, deployed from a quay, shoreline or vessel without boats or divers

Uses

The site describes uses such as search missions, surveillance and real-time situational awareness for secure procurement and national-level operations. Hydrohex is aimed at inspection of bridges, dams, piers, quay walls and offshore platforms, seabed depth mapping in ports and harbours, and checks of telecom and power cables and subsea pipelines.
