Merlin Labs
Autonomy software for existing and future aircraft
About Merlin Labs
Merlin Labs is a US developer of autonomy for aircraft. The company offers cost-effective, takeoff-to-touchdown autonomy for legacy and next-generation aircraft. Its software is aircraft-agnostic and AI-powered. The company says it works with major primes across the aerospace industry. Its headquarters is in Boston, Massachusetts.
The Merlin Pilot is a single autonomy solution designed to be adapted to any plane in operation today and in the future. The company says it extends the capabilities of existing fleets, adds a strong safety layer and unlocks next-generation missions. Its tagline is Building Autonomous Aerospace today.
Merlin is partnering with U.S. Special Operations Command to bring autonomy to the C-130J fleet. The goal is to extend the operational range of high-frequency routes. The partnership carries a $105 million USSOCOM contract ceiling. The company reports hundreds of hours of autonomous flight.
Tactical transport is one of the mission domains listed. The company says the future of American aerospace is autonomous, and it aims to build the autonomous systems that will shape the next 100 years of American aviation.
Collaborators include Honeywell. Merlin has test facilities in Kerikeri, New Zealand, Smithfield, Rhode Island, and Bedford, Massachusetts.
The company has a newsroom, careers pages, a company page and an investor relations section. It lists open roles and separate media and investor contacts.
