Medilink International Air Ambulance (MIAA) is an air ambulance company based in Qormi, Malta. It is a subsidiary of Medilink International, a medical assistance company with more than 20 years of experience serving multinational clients in remote and difficult locations. MIAA organises end-to-end international patient transfers worldwide.

• Air ambulance: dedicated aircraft in permanent air ambulance configuration, on standby in Malta, with hubs in North Africa and partners worldwide

Each aircraft carries one stretcher patient and one extra passenger, subject to the medical crew's decision, with a pilot and co-pilot and a doctor and nurse on board.

Crew and safety

All medical crew have specific aeromedical training covering the effects of altitude, cabin pressure, vibration, noise and dehydration on patients. More than 18 people take part in each mission, including mission control, flight engineers, pilots, topside doctors and ground ambulance crews at both ends.
