Mecanyvois

Mecanyvois is a French family-owned mechanical engineering group founded in 1966 and headquartered at 18 rue du Champ Raymond in Carignan, in the Ardennes at the crossroads of France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. For more than 60 years it has designed, manufactured and installed tooling, special machines and mechanical assemblies, describing itself as a French leader in aeronautical tooling, and it serves aeronautics, automotive, railway, defence, energy, steel and metallurgy customers with turnkey industrial solutions from design to on-site installation.

Group

• The historic Carignan site centralises all customer projects and houses one of the largest machine parks in France, with horizontal CNC turning up to 1,200 mm diameter by 5,000 mm and six large-capacity machines up to 10,000 by 4,000 by 2,000 mm, including two continuous 5-axis gantry milling machines with electro-spindles
• A Bazeilles facility specialising in high-specification metal fabrication with a welding engineer, a department dedicated to aluminium welding, TIG, MIG and MAG welding with qualified procedures for steel, stainless steel and aluminium, and individual part marking for full traceability
• Mecanyvois Tunisia, a best-cost production subsidiary in Tunis specialising in the design and manufacture of aeronautical tooling, later extended by 1,500 square metres
• Mecanyvois Sud-Ouest, a sales office opened in Pau to be closer to south-west aerospace customers, with design offices and a total of 40 people across the group

Activities

• Design: complete 3D and 2D studies in CATIA V5 or SolidWorks, numerical simulation and structural analysis, with multilingual support in French, English, German, Spanish and Portuguese
• Manufacturing: machining of large parts, welded fabrication and assembly of tailor-made, adaptable tooling
• Installation: on-site mechanical, pneumatic and electrical assembly anywhere in the world with fully electric certified telescopic handlers, forklifts and access platforms, and partial or complete transfers of assembly lines with electrical, pneumatic and geometry servicing
• Production support: continuous assistance in customers' production and maintenance of portable equipment

Reference projects

Projects shown on the site include a fully automated cockpit floor assembly station with camera-based positioning and a hexapod system, Beluga transport tooling for A320 sections 15 to 19, a transport tool for the A350 rear pressure bulkhead, an XXL crankshaft assembly station for Everllence (MAN Diesel) and a heat treatment frame in 310 stainless steel, across categories such as assembly tooling, access platforms, forming tools, composite material tooling, handling and special machines. Customer logos include Dassault Aviation, Daher, Embraer, Dedienne Aerospace, Amphenol, Aubert and Duval, ArcelorMittal and Framatome.
