Kordsa

Kordsa is a materials company that makes reinforcement products for tires and composite parts. Composites are strong materials made by combining two or more different materials. The company says it has more than half a century of experience. Its stated mission is reinforcing life.

Kordsa was founded in 1973 as a subsidiary of Sabanci Holding. It began by making cord fabric for car tires. It later added composite technologies. The company now works in six countries across four continents. They are Turkiye, Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand, Italy and the United States.

Tires are the main business, and the product list also includes composite technologies. Kordsa supplies makers of tires for cars, farm machines, trucks, buses, motorcycles and airplanes. The company says it reinforces one in every three car tires and two in every three airplane tires around the world. Its products include nylon 66 and polyester yarn, tire cord fabric, single-end cord and hybrid cord products.

In composites, Kordsa makes intermediate products for the aerospace and automotive industries. These include prepregs, which are fibers already soaked in resin. It also lists prepreg adhesive and surface films and phenolic honeycombs. The company says these are used to build lighter vehicles.

The company says lighter vehicles use less fuel and release less carbon. It also says its tire products are designed to be better for the environment. It states that they improve wet grip and cut fuel use. It says it aims to build sustainable technology with each step and investment.

Kordsa says it wants to keep investing in advanced materials for the industries of the future. It describes its approach as offering full solutions that are customized for each tire maker. The company also invites people to explore careers and learning opportunities.
