About Knight Aerospace

Knight Aerospace is a manufacturer in San Antonio, Texas. It designs, builds and customizes modules, pallets and ground support equipment for military cargo aircraft. The company was founded in 1992 and says it has served customers in more than 35 countries. All of its products are made in the USA.

Its modular systems are airworthy roll-on and roll-off modules. They can be customized for DV and VIP transport, medical evacuation, medical transport and other missions. The modules are designed for the safety and comfort of passengers in military cargo aircraft such as the C-130 and C-17. The company's latest creation is the Aeromedical Bio-Containment Module, which the website describes as self-contained and airworthy.

Palletized systems include transport pallets, special operation pallets, medevac pallets and a next generation galley lavatory system for military aircraft. The company built that system with Collins Aerospace. The website says its palletized systems have been approved for flight by military and civilian organizations and by aircraft OEMs.

Knight Aerospace is authorized to manufacture ground support equipment for military cargo aircraft such as the C-130, C-17 and C-390. It builds to customer drawings or designs equipment to a customer's specifications. Its work includes cutting, machining, sheet metal work and assembly. Listed equipment includes engine buildup dollies, a cargo removal dolly, a P-3 engine transport dolly and a universal hoist assembly.

Upgrades and refurbishments cover interior blanket replacement kits, galley upgrades, lavatory upgrades, cockpit seating refurbishment and electrical panel installations. The company also refurbishes ground support equipment and offers a VIP module.

Knight Aerospace Medical Systems was created in 2014 to focus on medevac. The two companies merged under the Knight Aerospace name in 2017. The company says its medical systems allow patients to be moved safely in cargo aircraft such as the C-130, C-17 and C-390.

Recent news includes a product team with Recoil. Together they introduced two palletized products called Oasis and HARPS for remote location logistics. The site also reports a supply of a second Aeromedical Bio-Containment Evacuation System to the Royal Canadian Air Force.

The company is based at the Port San Antonio technology campus. Its website has pages for its quality management system and its international sales work. Customers can reach the sales team by email or by using the request a quote form on the website.
