Harbour Industries

Harbour Industries, LLC is a manufacturer of data, RF and mil-spec wire and cable in Shelburne, Vermont. Since 1965 it has made high temperature, high performance cable for military, commercial and industrial customers. The company is part of the Marmon group, which has been majority owned by Berkshire Hathaway since 2008, and sits in the Marmon Electrical group within its aerospace and defense platform.

• Aerospace data cables: the DataMaster range, from twisted pair and quadrax to gigabit Ethernet designs, used by suppliers of in-flight entertainment and connectivity systems. The company states it was the first cable maker to offer an aerospace grade Category 8 cable
• Aerospace power cable, including the AeroPOWER Firezone M25038/3 for high temperature uses such as aircraft engines
• RF and microwave coaxial cables, including low loss designs

The Shelburne plant uses many conductors, insulating compounds, braid wire and jacketing materials. The company can scale production quickly to handle surges in demand.

History

• Late 1960s and early 1970s: plant expansions to serve the aerospace market
