About Hanwha Vision
Hanwha Vision makes AI video surveillance cameras and software, and it offers security solutions for airports as well as other busy sites.
The company builds its own system on chip, a processor for security cameras. It says it introduced its first ISP chipset in 2004 and its first Wisenet chip series in 2010. The latest generation is Wisenet 9. Because it designs and makes the chips itself, the company says it can oversee its cybersecurity supply chain and meet NDAA rules for its cameras and key parts. Its core X series uses its own chip as standard.
Wisenet 9 has a dual NPU design. One part of the chip handles video quality, and the other handles analytics, so neither slows the other. AI noise reduction and extreme WDR help the cameras show clear detail in low light and in strong glare. The company says this helps security teams spot faces, license plates and objects.
The AI side is built to be extended. Cameras can sort objects by attributes such as color, bags and face masks. They can count people and vehicles and detect slips, falls and crowds. WiseAI features include blocked exit detection, loitering, tailgating and stopped vehicle or pedestrian alerts. Dynamic privacy masking hides objects to protect privacy. Operators can use similarity search to follow a person of interest across all cameras. WiseStream, an AI-based compression method, works with H.265 to cut bandwidth use.
The product range includes network cameras and video management software, including Wisenet WAVE, Wisenet SSM, Wisenet Viewer and OnCloud.
Hanwha Vision lists an airport industry page that promises proven security for safer and smarter airports. It also serves banking and finance, casinos, city surveillance, corrections, data centers, education, oil and gas, manufacturing, healthcare, government and transport. In November 2026 the company is showing at ISC East in New York.
