Gary Jet Center

Gary Jet Center is an independently owned FBO, charter and maintenance company at Gary airport (KGYY) in Gary, Indiana, about 25 minutes from downtown Chicago. It has operated at KGYY for nearly 30 years. The FBO is at 6101 Airport Road and the corporate offices and maintenance shop at 5401 Airport Road.

Services

The maintenance division is an FAA Part 145 repair station and FAR 91.411/91.413 certified. Its factory-trained technicians handle airframe, avionics, engine and parts work on aircraft from piston singles and helicopters to corporate jets. The shop lists:

• Piston aircraft, helicopters, corporate jets and unmanned aircraft
• Aircraft tear-down services

FBO and facilities

The FBO has 110,000 square feet of heated hangar space with 28 foot doors, an 8,300 square foot terminal, 5 acres of ramp and a glass-walled lobby seating 45. Services include Jet A, Jet A with additive, 100LL, de-icing, catering coordination, rental cars, crew rooms, sleep rooms, conference rooms and on-field customs clearance. Gary Jet Center also offers charter, aircraft management and acquisition. The company has about 60 employees and is led by chairman Wil Davis.
