Garrecht Avionik GmbH is a German avionics manufacturer that sells its products under the AIR Avionics brand. It designs, certifies, builds and supports communication radios, transponders and traffic detection systems for general aviation, and also develops technology for commercial aviation and defence. The company is owner managed and fully equity financed, and works from two sites in south western Germany: Walldorf and Bingen.

Products

• AIR Com (AC-1): 8.33 kHz VHF radio with built in intercom, described as the lightest and most compact fully TSO certified aircraft radio
• AIR Control Display (ACD-57) and AIR Transponder: modular control head and compact transponder system that can also drive third party radios and transponders
• AIR Traffic (AT-1) for Europe: detects FLARM, ADS-B (1090) and Mode S traffic and transmits FLARM data
• AIR Traffic (AT-2) for the US, Canada and Australia: dual link ADS-B in (1090 and UAT) plus Mode S traffic detection
• AIR Traffic Displays (ATD-57 and ATD-80), add on functions and databases

Services

The company offers repairs and exchanges through an RMA system, plus customer support on working days. Products are sold through its own AIR Store and a worldwide dealer network to pilots, aircraft manufacturers, maintenance companies and distributors.
