FrSky

FrSky is a Chinese electronics maker based in Wuxi, Jiangsu. It designs and sells radio control gear, including transmitters, receivers, flight controllers and sensors for model aircraft and drones.

The company was founded in January 2010. It describes itself as a research and development company that builds electronic products and the embedded software that runs them. Its focus is remote control systems and intelligent control systems. Its products are used in telecommunications, RC models, commerce, industry and agriculture.

The product range is wide. Transmitters come in the ETHOS and ECOS series, and there are open source and RF module options. Receivers cover 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz bands under names such as ACCESS and ACCST. Other lines include servos, speed controllers and power supplies, flight controllers, video transmitters and a few RC airplanes. Sensors cover current, battery voltage, variometer, airspeed, GPS and Remote ID. A flight safe system adds redundancy and power switch parts.

FrSky says it owns almost a hundred independent intellectual property products. These include the Smart Port data bus and the ACCST and ACCESS communication protocols. It also lists more than 40 patents and 11 software copyrights, plus CE, FCC and RoHS marks. It won a national innovation and entrepreneurship contest in 2018 and holds several provincial honours.

The company has more than 4,000 square metres of office space and about 8,500 square metres of production plant. It has more than 180 employees and says it puts over 8 percent of revenue into research and development. Its 2018 sales reached 105 million RMB.

FrSky says it was the first RC company listed on China's National Equities Exchange and Quotations market, in April 2015. It runs a dealer programme and takes applications from suppliers, reviewers and beta testers. Customers can use a service centre, an app, a download area, Lua scripts and a user community on GitHub and RC Groups.
