ETL Systems

ETL Systems designs and manufactures RF distribution and satellite communication equipment for critical infrastructure. It offers end to end expertise across the RF chain, from system design and engineering through integration, delivery and long term support. The company reports 35 years of engineering expertise.

The product range spans the signal chain from antenna to modem. Signal routing includes matrix systems, splitters, combiners and switches. Signal transport and conditioning includes RF over fibre, DC inserters, amplifiers and frequency converters. Signal uplink includes TWTAs, SSPAs and troposcatter. Testing and operation includes test loop translators, SatSims, oscillators and signal generators.

Digital IF products include Genus Digital, which brings RF over IP to the gateway, and DIGITAL 1000, which brings digitisation to the network edge. Monica monitoring and control software manages systems, and the Scorpion mounting system is also offered.

The company says it has exported to more than 130 countries and is trusted by the world's top 10 satellite operators and teleports. Its equipment is used in aerospace, broadcast, commercial and maritime satcoms, government and defence, NGSO, telecoms, test and measurement and RF research. Applications include cellular backhaul, lunar and deep space, HTS infrastructure, land mobility, OB and SNG, and virtual ground stations.

ETL offers a consultative service on top of its products. This includes system design support, witnessed testing, rack integration, orchestration, digital transformation, on site support and training.

The business grew rapidly after a new management team bought the company in 2003. It added its first surface mount technology line in 2006, won the Queen's Award for Enterprise in international trade in 2007, and opened a US office in Virginia in 2013.
