ELT Group

ELT Group, formerly Elettronica, was born in Italy and began by specialising in electronic countermeasures and electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) technologies. The group says it has over 70 years of expertise in the electromagnetic spectrum and works across defence, cyber, biodefence and space, under the line ready to take the electromagnetic spectrum forward. Its presence covers 15 countries around the world.

Programmes and news

• An electronic warfare suite for the Italian Navy's new DDG destroyers, under the programme developed by Fincantieri, Leonardo and MBDA with Orizzonte Sistemi Navali, to protect both the platform and the wider naval force in multi-domain operations
• A role in the GCAP Electronics Evolution (G2E) consortium, the collaboration between national defence electronics companies in Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom on the integrated sensors and electronics for the Global Combat Air Programme
• Participation in MSPO 2026, the International Defence Industry Exhibition at Targi Kielce, Poland, from 8 to 11 September

Innovation and sustainability

The group runs a New Tech Lab where new uses of the electromagnetic spectrum are studied. It has run an internal social responsibility process since 2018 to build sustainability into its strategy and culture, and it builds partnerships with other highly qualified organisations.
