Aerospace and defense

Elma describes itself as a supplier of field proven rugged enclosures, integrated assemblies, boards and components for defense applications on land, at sea, in the air and in space, for more than 35 years. Its platforms are based on modular COTS open standards, including SOSA, OpenVPX, VNX+ and CompactPCI Serial, as well as mature standards such as VME, CompactPCI and COM Express. The company cites experience with thermal and environmental management, operation from minus 40 to plus 85 degrees Celsius, and military standards including MIL-STD 901D, 810E-F, 167 and 461. It states that its production facilities are certified to AS9100.

Artificial intelligence platforms

Using NVIDIA Jetson modules, Elma supplies deployable rugged AI computing platforms for harsh environments, including the JetSys-5330, JetSys-5320, JetSys-2010 and JetKit-3010. • 1960: Elma Electronic Ltd established as a sole proprietorship in Moenchaltorf, Switzerland
